Brussels are for those who love chocolate as well. I knew I was heading to the land of many things such as beer, waffles, beautiful architecture, mussels, and chocolate. I decided to go on a chocolate tour. My tour guide was from Moncton, studying in Belgium for five years and hasn’t gone back since. Can you blame her?
The tour started at St. Hubert Royal Gallery where there are lots of chocolate shops. This was the first outdoor mall built in Europe.
It was all overwhelming. Lucky for us, we got samples from each place. We started at Leonida’s (What? There’s one in Calgary). We started from low end to high end chocolate. Manneken pis is just everywhere even on the chocolates.
Next was Neuhaus where I did most of my damage.
Next we went to Mary’s who was the first female chocolatiere.
You can’t go to Belgium without having hot chocolate. It’s super rich.

Now off on a scenic walk to to go to high end district for more chocolate, Place du Grand Sablon.
Next, we went to Pierre Marcolini where I bought hot chocolate.
